Limited, India’s No. 1 local search engine, has reported a notable rise in
consumer searches across CCTV and smart security solution categories. The
analysis compares search volumes between April 2024–March 2025 and April
2025–March 2026, indicating a growing consumer focus on safety, surveillance,
and technology-led access control across residential and commercial spaces.
At a national level, CCTV dealer searches
increased by 19%, reflecting steady demand for surveillance systems. Delhi led
the growth with a 25% rise, followed by Bangalore at 24% and Chennai at 21%,
while Mumbai recorded a 19% increase and Hyderabad saw a 16% uptick,
highlighting strong traction across major urban centres.
In parallel, searches for video door phones
and smart entry systems grew by 12% across India, pointing towards increasing
adoption of connected home security solutions. Delhi emerged as a key market
with a sharp 31% increase, while Hyderabad (9%), Pune (7%), and Mumbai (4%)
showed gradual yet consistent growth.
Further reinforcing this trend, access control
and biometric systems witnessed a 26% rise in searches nationally. Delhi
recorded a significant 62% surge, indicating heightened awareness and adoption
of advanced security solutions, particularly in high-density urban environments
where controlled access is becoming increasingly critical.
The data highlights a broader shift in
consumer behaviour, where traditional security measures are being supplemented
with integrated, technology-driven solutions, reflecting evolving needs for
safety, convenience, and real-time monitoring in everyday life.
