New Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 Debuts With Two Versions and a 743cc Twin Engine

Royal Enfield has revealed the Continental GT 750. It is the company’s most powerful motorcycle ever. The bike made its debut at EICMA 2026, alongside the Himalayan 750. Its official launch will come later.

A New Chapter for Royal Enfield

The Continental GT 750 is the second bike built on Royal Enfield’s new 750cc engine platform. The Himalayan 750 was the first. Now the stylish café racer joins the family and replaces the older 650cc engine with a bigger one.

Two Versions to Choose From

Royal Enfield showed two different versions of the bike. They have slightly different looks and riding positions.

Faired version. This one gets all the attention. It has a new front fairing and a sportier look. The clip-on handlebars are more aggressive, so the rider leans forward more. It also has a racing-style side number board, which gives it a true café racer feel.

Non-faired version. This version keeps the classic look of the current Continental GT 650. It has conventional side panels. It also has clip-on handlebars, but these let the rider sit a little more upright, which should be more comfortable on longer rides.

Engine and Performance

Both versions use the same engine as the Himalayan 750. It is a 743cc parallel-twin that is oil-cooled and has a single overhead camshaft (SOHC). Royal Enfield says the GT models are tuned differently to make more power and better performance. Both versions also come with dual exhausts.

The bike has a simple, traditional setup. It uses one mechanical throttle body for each cylinder. Unlike the Himalayan 750, it does not get cruise control or riding modes.

Wheels, Suspension and Brakes

The standard bike comes with 18-inch wire-spoke wheels and tube-type tyres. Depending on the variant, you can also get alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. Some variants will also have a black finish on the engine and exhaust.

Other features are the same on both versions:

  • Telescopic front forks, now with rebound adjustment
  • Twin-shock rear suspension
  • Single-seat setup with a rear cowl
  • Bar-end mirrors
  • Twin disc brakes at the front
  • Dual-channel ABS

No Digital Display for Now

Earlier spy shots suggested the bike might get a TFT Tripper display with music control and Google Maps mirroring. But the bikes shown at EICMA had classic analog dials in two round pods. This keeps the retro look, but it means no modern digital features, at least on the show bikes.

What We Still Don’t Know

Royal Enfield has not shared the exact power and torque numbers for the Continental GT 750 in the details we have seen. The price and launch date are also not confirmed yet. Both should be announced closer to the Indian launch.

Final Thoughts

The Continental GT 750 is a big step up for Royal Enfield fans who love café racers. Having two versions gives buyers a choice between a sporty, forward-leaning bike and a more relaxed one. If the bike also keeps its price reasonable, it could become a strong rival in the mid-size motorcycle market.
