GURUGRAM : Air India and Air
India Express will present their upgraded cabin products and refreshed onboard
experiences at SATTE 2026, taking place from 25 February to 27 February 2026 at
Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, offering trade partners and visitors a first-hand look
at the airlines’ transformation journey.
The Air
India pavilion will showcase the signature elements of the new Air India
experience, engaging audiences with a display of its bespoke Business Class and
Premium Economy seats featured on Airbus 320neo and Airbus 350 respectively. These
seats are designed to deliver greater comfort, and a consistent, world-class
inflight experience. The display will highlight enhancements across the
fleet such as improved seats, refined cabin aesthetics, contemporary finishes, and
amenities onboard that reflect the airline’s evolving global positioning. Visitors
can also get a virtual glimpse of Air India’s Airbus 350 at the Virtual Reality
(VR) experience zone.
Marking
its inaugural participation at SATTE, Air India Express will highlight its
rapidly expanding network spanning 45 domestic and 17 international
destinations across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Gulf region through
interactive digital displays. The showcase will emphasise the airline’s
strengthening connectivity, its newly inducted Boeing 737-8 line-fit aircraft
featuring an upgraded cabin experience, and its ‘Gourmair’ hot meal offerings,
presented through immersive and engaging touchpoints for visitors.
“SATTE 2026 gives us an important platform as
a group to strengthen engagement and build stronger relationships with travel partners
from across India and South Asia. 2026 is the year of change for Air India group
and we are excited to collaborate with our travel trade partners to drive
growth, innovation, and connectivity, shaping the future of travel in India and
beyond,” said Manish Puri, Head of Global Sales, Air India group.
The new
cabins of Airbus 320neo and Airbus 350 exhibited at SATTE 2026 reflects Air
India’s commitment to provide a seamless experience on its domestic and
international routes.
Air India Express operates a fleet of more than 100 aircraft. In December 2025, the airline received its first fully customised line-fit aircraft, marking an important milestone in its fleet modernisation journey. Now, two-thirds of Air India Express’ fleet consists of modern B737‑8 and A320/321Neo aircraft, offering improved fuel-efficiency and enhanced on-board comfort.
Air India
expects deliveries of six line-fit (or made-for-Air India) aircraft in 2026,
which will include a mix of B787-9 and A350-1000 aircraft.
Air India recently took the delivery of its first line-fit Boeing 787-9 which will soon become the standard across Air India’s Boeing 787 fleet. Air India also began retrofitting its legacy B787-8 last year in an exercise that will see 26 legacy B787-8 aircraft refitted with brand-new cabin interiors custom-styled for Air India as well as the repainting of these aircraft in the airline’s vibrant, new livery.
As one of South Asia’s leading travel and
tourism exhibitions, SATTE 2026 provides a strategic platform for both airlines
to reinforce their commitment to product excellence, operational reliability,
and long-term partnerships across domestic and international markets. The joint
participation underscores the group’s approach to strengthening India’s aviation
ecosystem and deepening engagement with travel trade partners.
