With Raksha Bandhan approaching, consumer searches across categories
associated with the festival recorded year-on-year growth across India. Data
from Justdial Limited, India’s No. 1 local search engine, covers florists, gift
shops, dry fruit dealers, Rakhi dealers and cake shops. The analysis compares
search volumes between August 2025–July 2026 and August 2024–July 2025.
Leading the growth nationally were Florists, with searches increasing by
28% pan-India. Bangalore topped the category with a 34% rise, followed by
Chennai at 28%, Hyderabad at 27% and Mumbai at 26%. Delhi registered growth of
23%, while Pune recorded a 22% increase.
Close behind, Gift Shop searches grew by 27% nationally. Mumbai recorded
the highest increase at 34%, followed by Ahmedabad at 24% and Pune at 21%.
Delhi registered growth of 19%, while Hyderabad and Chennai recorded increases
of 14% each and Bangalore grew by 13%.
The increase extended to traditional Raksha Bandhan gifting categories,
with searches for Dry Fruit Dealers rising by 16% pan-India. Delhi led with 40%
growth, closely followed by Hyderabad at 38%. Pune recorded an increase of 18%,
followed by Kolkata at 17% and Mumbai at 14%.
Rakhi Dealer searches registered the same pan-India growth of 16%.
Jodhpur recorded the highest increase at 27%, followed by Delhi at 24% and
Jaipur at 16%. Kanpur and Udaipur registered growth of 13% each, while Surat
recorded a 12% rise and Hyderabad 10%.
Adding to the category mix, Cake Shop searches increased by 13%
pan-India. Chandigarh led with 38% growth, followed by Delhi at 20%. Pune
recorded an increase of 12%, Hyderabad 11%, Chennai 10% and Bangalore 9%.
Taken together, the year-on-year data records growth across traditional
rakhis and related gifting categories, spanning flowers, gift shops, dry fruits
and cakes across India.
